I think I was yeah... first time ever round those parts, I was driving home from Liverpool and thought I'd check out the Peak District on the way home! I was in a titanium 182 :)
Have a search there's two types of rack it can attach to... SMI or TRW, most are SMI. If there's no sticker on there (have to jack up and look underneath) then it's worth presuming it's SMI. Price sounds good I think I paid about £45 a side.
As said not really going to be a big saving... my 182 gives me 28mpg average and £390 to insure. My mum's 78bhp 1.4 Fiesta (also 57 plate like your new car) gives her 30mpg and costs £460 to insure. Both running 16" wheels too so no saving on tyres (apart from she will go budget lol) and her...
Same here I get around 26-28mpg from pure town driving, just done a 500 mile round motorway trip this week and only managed 36mpg... do I have a problem!? I'm still so happy compared to the 12mpg average I was getting from my Subaru I owned before the Clio!
I have a silver one myself, sometimes I do think it's a little boring... but when clean tbh just looks fecking amazing! I'd still swap for a LY or RB though :P

To be honest you don't even have to bother pulling the actual switch out from where it is, just push the brake away and you can pull or push in the end of it with your thumb and...
Hi these haven't worked since I've owned my car.
I read somewhere that it could be due to the brake switch being out (I was also getting the SERV/ESP/ABS problem) but I seem to have fixed that now with adjustment. Basically if I press either button the light comes on the dash, but as soon as I...
f**king scary tbh! I worked out one years worth of ownership of my blobeye STI cost me about £6k... I nearly cried.
This is why I get annoyed at the girlfriend saying I need to pay half for a meal she's cooking me, and she doesn't drive and earns £500 p/m more than me... loaded b**ch lol.
Fair play for taking it on the chin. I did similar with a bumper repair once, looked s**t... the colour was off.
Unless you're really bothered about having an absolute mint car I wouldn't bother mate, save the money and see if you still think it's worth repairing when you come to sell it...
Thanks everyone, should be ordering parts tomorrow. I've been told my rod ends are fine so only the inners need replacing... any idea on a rough labour cost?
