Cheers mate :)
Yeah I thought about keeping the springs, but i want some turbines, and to pull them off, i think you need to be very low!
I will buy the wheels first, and see how they look!
Thanks guys! The springs have done well, people slate the Apex ones, but they're ok!
Im looking for a set of turbines after i get coilovers, going to refurb them a dark silver (Not as light as standard colour, but lighter than anthracite)
They're Apex springs mate! Drop is 50-60mm.
I was expecting them to be a bit crappy, but they're actually ok, and stiffer then other springs I've had in the past!
Little update.
Got myself some Lamin-x stuff for the fogs, pleased with that.
Also got a BMC panel filter :)
It passed it's MOT today (second time round, as always!) so it deserved a quick clean up!
Coilovers are next on the list because I need to go lower, as are a set or Turbines ;)
I know...
Behind the full beam bulb, is that thin wire clip that holds the bulb in place. To remove the bulb you need to push the wire clip to the side, then it opens up.
The guy at the MOT station thought the dipped beam had the same sort of clip, but it doesn't, it's just push and twist.
Sorry, it's...
Clocked before that they failed me on main dipped beam, which has no clips, it twists in.
I've tried without taking the bumper off, it wont turn, so im going to have to take the lights out tomorrow!
They were certain it had clips like the full beam aswell, what a waste of time.
Failed because the headlight clip is broken (passenger side).
Anyone know where I can get one of these? (apart from scrappies, because it's peeing it down!)
Update: Just been for first a slow drive, with gentle braking etc. Then a shoot down the motorway.
When I got back, my brakes and alloys were literally pulsing heat, so i'm guessing my caliper may be fooked? (sticking maybe)
Changed my brakes today on the 1.6. Bought Pagid disks and pads.
Fitted them ok, took a couple of hours but i'm pretty sure they're ok....until.
1. They seem like theyre sticking a tad, when i pull off it seems something is holding my car back a little?
2. Got back from work, stopped on the...
Ive already got my disks, they're only standard Pagid ones.
I'm in two minds on getting standard pads, Ultimax pads or EBC green stuff pads?
Do you think it's worth it?
I've got a 1.6 16v.
I just managed to get them in, why do they even design cars designed for midgets to fix.
I now have cuts all over my hands! :(
Cheers for the replies, lol.
Right, bulb went, changed them, tried to twist them back in, and I can't fit my hand in.
They've turned a tiny bit, do you think they'll be ok? When I took the old ones out, they
just needed a wiggle and they popped out.
Or, is there another way of twisting them in?
Taaa
Black 182, looked like it'd been dropped. Saw you going towards Spital Cross-roads/Three Stags last night at about 8ish.
Looked gorgeous, was this anyone on here?
This may be a dumb as hell question, but i'm rubbish on this...
I have some 60mm Apex springs on my mk2 1.6 Clio on standard shocks at the moment.
When I was looking on eurocarparts I saw some Billstein shocks, do you think these would be ok paired with my Apex springs?
Cheers
Phil
MOT is very soon anyway, so it'll be done ASAP.
It only occurs over about 40/50mph, but wheels feel like they going to fly off, so I thought it may be more serious.
Thanks again!
I've recently noticed worrying vibrations that shake what feels like the whole car when cornering!
Had quick search on here, and it seems it may be wheel balancing, is this normally the case?
Recently-ish put apex springs on the car (about 1k ago), but the handling seems ok, checked bits when...
