Nope, I learnt with a film SLR many moons ago, I had the 350D for a year and a half too so I am fairly confident that it is not down to user error... although you never know! I also took a load of shots at f8 and f16 last night with the flash to test it but did not get a chance to go through...

127 shots with the flash not skipping a beat before I hit the cameras buffer. The flash not firing on full power which may have helped it along. Video is here

Yep.... superbly. I'll even do a video clip for you to see how long it keeps up for. I managed around 10 raw files yesterday at 6.5 fps without the flash missing a beat. Proper paparazzi style. lol

I don't think that there is enough of a difference between the wide ends at 17 and 24 to justify it surely? The new version is 16-35 too I think. I definitely would not bother with the F4 but the F2.8 might be more useful. I dont know how second hand prices are in the UK but over here, second...
