So i've read a number of different things about connecting the horn up and people having problems with burning/melting cables.
I really do not want this to happen. In an older thread someone recommended chopping off the little spring clip on the back of the horn so that it wasn't earthing to...
Had a knocking coming from my front end so I went over all the engine and gearbox mounts and retorqued them and loctited them as I believe it was the manifold banging on the subframe.
I also managed to get this fitted!
I have cruise control bracket to finish wiring up and also some airbag...
Take for mot. Ask if sunstrip will fail test before they test it. Either remove if it will fail or keep it if they say it won't.
Refit after if you removed
Jesus Christ.
They're literal Muppets. It's pathetic they're not responding to emails or phone calls. If they just told you what happened in the first place then you could have made accommodation to sorting it out in a different method.

If you need a hand doing that star cog repair give me a shout
Where are people getting the 274 from then? I just popped over to napkins anyway and bought a 3.9 ohm resistor so can make 273.9 which will be fine with tolerance
Sorry, yeah it's to replace the buttons of the cruise on an aftermarket steering wheel. I just looked at the resistors and they have a brown tolerance band meaning they're 1% so the 270 one I have won't be good enough? I can go back over and get one higher if it is 274-300 but I've not read that...
Do you have some photos of the damaged gearbox? Just to back up what they're saying. I'm very surprised it's that bad if you havnt had crunches? Change the oil recently?
Best way to do the bolts is to remove the shocks and loosen the nuts off the back. They're often seized in at the front so come out nicely.
Such a stupid design.
