Deffo salvageable dude. My GF's car was pink/looked knackered before I had a bash at it.
4 half arsed hours later it was red again and all the holograms removed. To get rid of the orange peel you will need to wet sand it.
100% yes. Not even a question. Mine get set up every 6months as the road in general knocks out your alignment over time.
Also have them set up after adjusting ride height & camber. Difference for me was night and day once I had them set up.
Get some KW v2's Laura. Really awesome coilovers if you have the money going spare - Although on the whole I agree with Dan. My 182 handled awesome on standard springs. It is still as good - Marginally better, however just an extra cost that isn't really needed :)
I wouldn't lower 60mm on just springs. I did this on my old 1.2. The ride was horrendous and it handled like a big lump of turd.
If your going 60 mm you need shorter shock absorbers or coilovers in my opinion!
I think that D4ve can get really good prices on them. I hope he doesn't mind me whoring his name out, but I have seen him offer a few times to sort members out with them.
Put it on piston heads and eBay as a classified.
May be worth saying that although auto trader is a fortune your practically guarenteed to sell it.
Tried putting it in the ad mag?
You don't need a polisher to remove it. Usefull yes but it can be done without.
Purchase some 3000grit wet and dry off a detailing website, sand it a little bit an polish it up with a mild cut compound by hand.
Agree. It looks pretty crap to be fair. Being subtle (such as what yours is) is the best way for this sort of conversion IMO. This will suprise ALOT of people
Re: Insurance. Fookers! (young 172/182 owners look in)
Yup. Modifying your car can save you money in some circumstances. I am now with brentacre and pay £1300 with points and 3yncb - My postcode is as bad as basra though :(.
Take some pictures of it next time mate, as it may be easier to tell you what it is.
Regarding snow foam, in my experience it doesn't matter dilution rates wise. I just kinda guess. Fill the bottle up from empty and put about2-3 cm of snow foam in followed by warm water.
My only GUESS is you...
