The RST3 you had in the megane were savage when I had a quick go when my brother bought it off you. Don't think they are an option for the MK2 Clio caliper though 😏

I'd say something electrical. Battery nice and tight? Earth strap on the gearbox? Don't really get fuel starvation on Clio's unless you run them stupidly low on fuel.

New pump time. It was obvious it was leaking, fluid everywhere!

When my pump blew a seal out the side on track, the steering was really heavy, almost impossible to turn.

On the ground, but i had some metal plates under the wheels with grease in between them so it could be turned easily. Maybe that's the difference. Try bleeding it with the wheels up, so you can turn lock to lock quickly.
