Not sure if it's been mentioned, but what about the later a3? The 3.2 is a good option for that budget. And they're much better to drive than the older s3 imo. The mk5 golf platform is a much better starting point.

You're missing my point. The hyundai is a brilliant car. But it's more focused than the gti (by all accounts). That's not what the gti is all about, it's about being the consummate all rounder. Cars like the club sport and r take care of the enthusiasts that want the more focused side of things.

In fairness, the Hyundai-i30-n is a different type of hot hatch. It's not designed to be as good a daily as the golf, its a bit more focused. You don't try and beat vw at the golf gti game. You'll lose.

I've not used it, but my oneplus 5 can do this. According to my cousin (travels a lot) it works seamlessly. Separate ring tones, so he knows which one is ringing.
