Lol! We'll soon see how I get on...
Jesus. The good news is, the engine 'seems' a peach and most things electrical seem to work. The mirrors have a mind of their own though. I was adjusting the right hand one the other day and f**k all was happening, realised that the left one was moving...
Brakes work, but the pads need doing as it seems to grind at slow speeds. Clutch is a weird one, I'll get it sorted though.
I've also lost a centre cap and fixed (then broke) the central locking. It's all part of the fun.
Lol, I've nearly done 900 miles in it in a week and a half and so far, so good (apart from the brakes).
*Touches closest wooden object.
Have a little faith Dan! Bu'reet.
Just found a decent guide written by Jord when he did his. Will have a proper read through at lunch:

Pah, that way I wouldn't be half as cool ;)
Potentially stupid question coming up Chip; will the 1*2 calipers fit on to standard valver disks easily enough?
I'm useless with brakes, haven't got a clue.
Lol at the mattress!
You're not helping Phil! Looked amazing on the willy wheels.
You're not helping either.
Erm, not really! I've had a clutch problem a couple of times where I've had to pull over with hazards on as I can't select a gear, but otherwise it's been spot on. The brakes have...
It's difficult to compare the two really mate! They're just so different. The mk1 feels a bit nimbler and actually turns in quicker, but ultimately lacks the Trophy's grip and doesn't feel as stable on faster bends. Not that I've actually been driving it that quickly really, I've been put off...
You too fella, def need a beer soon, if you're allowed out when you're married ;)
LOL at the incident. So yeah, Oli kindly came over tonight to loosen the bolts on the wheels. We joked about me just been a weakling, and then this happened:
That's on one of the lifetime guarantee halfords...
They're awesome aren't they!
Really not sure mate, it's happened twice now at random. It seems to go really light and I can't select any gears. The first time, it just appeared to fix itself after a minute or so, but last night it wasn't having any of it. So I reached under the pedal and yanked...
Sorry to hear that mate.
I have a drivers side mirror and the rear bump strip if needs be. They're both in capsicum.
I do also have a door card, but it's a cup/trophy one. Fire me across a PM if you're interested pal.
It's funny, I actually really don't mind it as a daily. It's comfier than the Trophy, lol! Time will tell whether it'll be reliable or not, but so far so good. It did do that daft light clutch thing the last night again that I was telling you about Chip, but seems to be more of a pedal related...
Cheers Oli, I should be about all week so just fire me across a PM for whenever's good for you :)
I might use the opportunity to try and sell you stuff too, lol!
