It's 3500kg MAM (maximum authorised mass). MAM is the limit on how much the vehicle can weigh when it’s loaded. So it's similar to what @Hyperhatch said. It's the heaviest the tow car can weigh plus the weight of what the trailer can hold (it's plated weight).

Probably looking at around a 20kg saving for the glass all round excluding the windscreen. My road going 182 with bucket seats is 1030kg, so 970kg is easily done.

Do you have a weight limit for the track car? Can easily get it down to less than 1000kg.

You'll get a decent tow car for £18k! I'd look at something with a 1800/2000kg tow capacity tbh. Most of the modern estates will do that, BMW 5 series, Skoda, Ford Mondeo.

Triscan for rears are £40 ish and Bosch fronts are £30 each on eBay. Just replaced a right rear and front left on mine.

This. You're not meant to officially torque the crank bolt up with the crank still pinned, but the genuine pin tool seems to cope with it.

It is easier with the engine out, but only when it's out for other reasons like @Old Tarby! said. Otherwise you'd have to remove a lot of stuff just to get it out, power steering lines and all sorts.

I have the metal cutting EZ clip on ones. They'll cut plastic too.

I've used mine to cut through all sorts. With the right disc they are actually pretty good.

Just looked myself and it appears the R2 medium replaces the R1 which was also a medium. So it should be the same.

R1 in 195 width only and H1 in 205 from what i've seen.
