depends on how much you intend to or already dropped your car. i think nick is on a 35mm front drop and roughly 45 mm at the rear. i think nick is running 18 x 7.5 alloys. rear is fine for the drop he has already and i know he can def get three in the car. front is more involving...
joss and ben h

wongy
matt
just wanted to know the detaisl mate anyway.i dont trust anyone else on the car anyway so if i were to go 2.0 it would def be carried out by HP. ill see what my car is gonna be like with these new cams hes doing first, its already booked in to go back for the work

nick has had a new modified head and 270 degree piper fast road cams put in his motor. hill power stage 2 same spec as mine only mine aint got noz yet!!!!
yozza i read in some mags ages ago that van aken do a lot of turbo diesel conversion. with about 20-30 break hike and a hell of a lot more...
youd be hard pressed to find a better deal than 500 for a new one. i would pay that if mine went but i think a while a go nick found a place that did 350 for recon exchange one with warrany

sorry to be all technical but induction roar is determined by the engines ability to rev fast. ie faster the engine revs the louder the roar.
real clio 16v and willy sound mental AS DO THE 172. im suprised the RT roar quite well too but the 1.2 16v ind kits are crap, they sound sh*t and make...
got mine back today
modded head and cams and the car if a different thing alltogeter. if you thought the 16v was fast before now its just mental
i totally rate hill power
you will not find a better reno tunner that does everything he says with no bull sh*t claimes. he knows what hes on...
gr
get the 17 you wont regret it
yes the wheels will fill the upper arch better but it will also increase the ride height by about half an inch
. lowering if your choice though but it will look much better lowered
wongy
if this is so good how come no one has thought of its before since the 16v has been around for quite some time now and how come hill power aint doing this conversion
wongy
i can only find 3 bolts...do i have to take the rear wheels off to get to the others..i cant see da ones when i take the lights off,i was jus experimentin
hey guys
how do you get the rear bumper off my 16v???
i looked in haynes manual and i cant quite make it out. i can see the sh*t guard fixer on bottom off the bumper and the three bolts on the botton(cant get these off too as the the socket too short)but i cant find the other 4 bolt...
cool ok guys looks like it wont be as bad as i first thought. anyhow cheers for the response guys but ill just give the car to hill power and tell them to sort it out so i get a car ready for so turbo chasing!!!
ios there a diff between rt and 16v wheels bearing!!
wongy
im not sure if i need a wheel bearing for the front but how much does it cost to have it done. its going on the front!!!!
i get a droning mind of noise from the front drivers side that get louder as i get faster and im sure its louder turing right too. ill be doing a new set of pads first as...
get a a willy cluth put in only a bit more expensive than a clio 16v one, another possibly but im not sure thought is maybe put in a r5turbo uprated one!!!im not sure if they fit but the aftermarket black diamond one i got in my 16v has the same part number listed for the r 5 turbo so they may...
i think its two totally seperate jobs but if it were me you might aswell get eveything uprated/changed as the old bits will be put under quite a strain with noz going through it
wongy
its a myth about the clio running sh*t on big alloys. its only if the car aint got the power to turn them anyway.
17s look a million times better too. im running 17 on std ride height and its fine. i found that people who lowered there find harsher rider and more skitish on the limit
ill be...
ben be warned mate you wuill lose the mad induction noise that i loved so much but my car is sooo much faster on pick up now. well worthwhile but i still miss the sound.now why cant i have the best of both worlds!!!!lol

simon
how ya doing mate getting into serious power than mate,
i already thought the head of the 172 was already gas flowed and ported!!!!it says soo in the brochure but i guess it can always be improved upon eh, good luck with ya conversion mate
wongy
i think 17"
i got 17 mm evos and yeah the car tramlines a bit more than my 195 i had but they look 10000000 times better and dont bother beleiving performance being blunted. a 17 with 205/40/17 is only a tiny bit bigger than 185/55/15 the 16v left the factoiry with anyway.and price of tyre is...
