What condition were your bumpstops in ? Was it all genuine renault parts used pal ?

Ive just bought a stainless steel manifold from K-Tec to replace mine. As its rattling from the sheild as the nuts have rusted off. How much is the gasket then fellor - Ive just order mine form the dealer !

The place i took mine to was rapidfit ford, £10er for 2 balanced and fitted. Kwikfit are normally my fav, they will fit em. Im sure.

No I never rang them, but when i asked at renault romford he said that 16V struts had a differant part number to a willy. That was enough to make my mind up. No point gambling & getting wrong struts for the sake of £20. Point to remember when dealing with GSF - if its not in the catalogue then...

Struts for the pair are around £80 all in, with our discount from Renault. Anyway bought genuine, so I know there right for my car :) Carnt wait to get it all back together.

Will do as I Had to destroy the passenger side top mount to get it off. Hate Loctite ! Just been on the phone to Renault Romford and they do a kit with, bumpstops, top mounts and bearings for £40 to do both sides. Going to get genuine renault struts then i know for sure, they are right. ;)

Spot on. Looked at all the wire joins and no corrosion on dry joints. Should hopefully getting the call today so fingers crossed.

Yep. A 10min job to get in there. But on its inside the actual siren unit on my alarm. Plugs straight into the PCB. The batterys were a bit furry at the edges - but as theyve been in 8 years - I recon there probally not holding a charge anymore. And thats why the siren goes off. I tryed the...

Cheers Jay - i stripped down the siren, had a good poke round and rebuilt it, before i took it out - just to double check everything. Disconnected the battery numerous times and turned on/off the siren but the problem is still there.

Haha Been doing that in mine today RajK :oops:. Since the alarm has bust - and imobalised my motor, ive decided that im going to change the broke drivers spring. Its up on axle stands looking sorry for itself. Tried to change them today, but couldnt get the top strut nut undone as the spanner...

Got all Cobras numbers already. Plus there website. As for the battery. When it got a new filter - it got a new battery too. :D

All these replays now its gone Cleaned it locally (with white sprits,no gunk left), so no water has been near the siren. Given up with specialists - they arent intrested in fault finding. Plus I dont trust em. As for a switch, yep thought of that one, but its registered on my insurance...
