Touch wood I've been very lucky. Some apps like maps etc that run in the background can get really hot. Various apps can get the phone very hot if left. Cleanmaster a greenify might help. Do you run the stock launcher? Loads of samsung apps and s**t is installed as standard so it won't be helping.

As per dawn, to use Exo etc do a proper polishing session even if it's not perfect. Then use eraser and then follow from there. Tad concerned about the exo side of things when you're clearly just getting to grip with basics?

The coloured diamonds thing really annoys me. Especially on oem+ cars. The most annoying thing about some mods is people just doing more because they're bored with the car essentially and need to keep it feeling fresh so they don't lose interest. Before you know it it looks terrible.
