i felt the same with my old 172. Get it changed imo, you'll feel better when mullering it too.

Exactly. It's not that all 172/182 drivers hate them, it's the fact that some of us who have driven them have either not felt it was a step-up, or it was too refined. A lot of the appeal of my 182 is that it feels over-engined; small car, big torquey lump. All of the 197's i've driven lose...

i'd rather pay the extra money to buy and run the 225. that's just me. a diesel's power delivery isn't my bad at all...
