from 1 - 3k revs you wont notice the difference but afterwards its sounds alot more powerfull than it is...
the adapter plate is so the filter can connect to the engine thing (yeh im not very technial)...
i bought mine as a kit from my mate so im not 100% of the locations of...
got a K&N filter on mine and makes alot more grunt than the standard filter... just sounds better though, not performance updates dude (but im sure you know this :p )
as for you heat soak haters. i dont care. its a 1.2 and is never going to be fast.
