Judging by reviews, the D60 is the D40 with more megapixels and a few extra features. I've just had this dilemma, opted for the D40 and spending my extra pennies on some better glass:approve:

Looks to be more of a mk3 ph2 rather than a mk4. Theoretically it should look good with a similar front to the new megane!

Good idea. I'm treating myself to an SLR to crimbo so will sign up and give it a go. I like the fact it's almost a diary, and hopefully I'd be able to see improvement in my own work as the days go on. Will sign up, count me in!
