lol both engines are at the side of the car, the one on the engine lift is the new one (50k miles, 16 straight valves, new cambelt, no oil leaks, no melted piston rings, a working waterpump) on on the floor is the old one (140k, 16 bent valves, snapped cambelt, oil leaks everywhere, melted...
get a strutbrace and paint it the same colour as the car too, would look good.
ohh and a 1.6 16v bottom end!, cheap 10bhp if you can fit it yourself! and no one would know to look at it :D
all 16v cars are 258mm but for some reason alot of motorfactors computers come up with 238mm for 1.2 16v clios!! i just ask for 1.6 16v disks now it saves problems lol
dont rush them and they'r fine. mine was fine after 140k, it was a CV joint that nailed it in the end, box was still fine and i nailed mine all the time
lol waterpump was leaking, emptied the full cooling system every 3 or 4 hours so just kept filling it with water, then the waterpump went and ate the cambelt, ah well lol

deffo worth going for a 1.6 16v over a 1.2 16v(75bhp vs 110bhp) but hard to come by, the 1.2 you can get in any colour and any spec you want so your guaranteed to find a mint one if you look about.
give the guy a brake!
welcome to ClioSport mate...

^1.2 16v's dont have accelerator cables, there fly by wire, only the 1.2 8v's are cable^^
first thing to try is cleaning the throttle body since its free to do it, if that doesnt solve it then it sounds like the coil pack, im on my 3rd one now £60 i think they cost from renault when i bought...
you have 2 options.
you can eather take it to a custom exhaust place and have a custom exhaust built and fitted to your car, usually costs around £250-£300 for a catback with the tailpipe of your choice and how loud or quiet you want it.
Or you can buy a cat back exhaust system for your car...
60mm is the minimum id go for, 40mm doesnt even look lowered from some angles!
i had an apex -60mm kit on mine before the coilovers and speedbumps were fine, never affected me i could get anywhere without problems, exhaust didnt even catch anything.
you could save money and just stick a set...
