    I'm on about the rears. The front height adjustment is done using the bottom collar and physically lowering the whole coilover down.

    I don't know mate. Just leave the shock as it is and use the two collars on the spring perch to adjust the height.

    Adjust the height using the spring perch iirc. The adjustment on the rear shock might be the set preload height.

    Gloss wraps look crap and orange peely to f**k. Matt/Satin wraps look good if done properly, depends on the car and colour.

    Do the compression test wet with a bit of oil down each cylinder and see if it changes. Probably is the valve stems though, like you say it's been like that for ages.

    I would guess valve stem seals, but I don't know.

    Bet they loved you over there! Renault Sports are quite rare over there really due to high tax, I always get looks in the 182 when in Le Mans.
