im a mechanic noob - why is the gear leaver thing the same size as the empire state building?

The lead is routed from the hu round the back of the glovebox and plugged into the ipod. a glovebox is needed to ensure nothing gets stolen :rasp:

if you look in the back of your glove box there is a long rectangle that pops out. if your a perfectionist you can drill a hole on the edge of the rectangle and a bit into the back of the glove box but all i have done is wedged it in and put the rectangle back best a can . but hey its the...
