Each to their own, but personally I disagree. We're talking about a relatively new car, not a 10 yr old banger. Pop an extended warranty on, and you've very little to worry about. I can't see a reason for changing if you're happy with your current car.
IMO, if one repair could land me in...
Thats not good. It does vary, the garage dad's always used (mini/bmw cheltenham) have always been excellent. The Worcester dealer also been excellent, providing a brand new car when the engine went on his brand new 325 2 years ago.
Horses for courses. All the minis I've been in have been a level above the Clio in terms of build. And if you do have any issues the dealer network is massively superior.
I think one of these could be the car to get me out of the Clio's tbh. Have to be red/black for me though, I nearly bought one a few years ago. Red, black roof, black wheels. Looked the nuts, was all ready to go. Then the HPi threw up outstanding finance.
I've owned both the cars above. Trophy, no question. You won't miss any of the 'toys' (ie auto wipers that don't really work) but you'll enjoy driving it massively.
Personally, I'd rather a 172 on coilovers than a Trophy.
Re: iPhone AppStore must haves?
Just read that disabling autolock should stop the problem, as suggested by Sneeks. Oddly it doesn't happen all the time, only occasionally. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.
A better all rounder than all of the above tbh. Having seen what you've bought, I do find it crazy that people are dropping 15k on a Clio. I don't think there's a Clio edition made that would hold onto a well driven s works, and I've only driven the early lower powered works.
Re: iPhone AppStore must haves?
For the other copilot users. When navigating, ocassionaly the screen goes dull, like the phones about to lock. It never does lock, and touching the screen brightens it again. Anyone else had this occur?
Car of their time. Interior s**t, built pretty poorly, not refined in the slightest. All sorted in the new breed of hatches, but obviously with added weight. Roy's nailed it. s**t as day to day ( if those things bother you) but great fun.
Cup loses leatherette+alcantara on the seats, no xenons, no auto wipers, no climate (standard ac), different stereo, only available in RB and cat-sick, slightly smaller steering wheel (no melting thumb grips), no split rear bench.
