Thing is i may have dropped this phone into a cup of coffee and got it very very wet in the rain (water in screen) but still worked fine for few months after, reckon i'll get it fixed lol?
I think the gearbox's would physically fit, but when getting one for my 172 had the choice of 3 172 cup, 172 ff and 172ff with speedo sensor.
Had to have 172ff with speedo thing, mine was a freak one though, most 172's use the ABS for the speedo.
Difference is ECU, exhaust manilfold and plenum i think.
Ph1 172 has cable throttle body (so must have a different wiring loom???)
Gearbox's are different on all varients.
Phone works 100% perfect, faultless apart from the time thing, all i did was change the product code so i did not have to use the crappy 02 software. But it's worked fine like this for ages.
Yeah my avatar is me coming of on the ring :o
My car in fairness has only phyisically stopped once in 65k, all the other faults are just stuff being shite.
Yeah but more air that can get in means more fuel could be burnt which equals more power.
So the ECU would say send less air and fuel needed so should make no difference,
Sorry it's actually had 4 lol. Orginal fucked, put one in then it jammed in gear, so got a brand spanking new one from Renault, was fucked from word go, rattled and made some weird noises so was replaced.
I personally think this one is a bargain:

The InspironTM 1501
Mines had 3 gearbox's 2 cambelts, one due to pulley snapping so had to have heard removed and valves replaced, and new clutch, exhaust, dampers all in last 12 months + much much more.
I think problems all depends on what you expect from a car, like poor starting in my opinon could be fine to someone else, and when one of my dampers went a "normal" person would not be able to tell.
Standard look the best IMO.
