you need to drill 2 pilot holes in the rear of the car, plus you need Mk2 arch liners. not a lot of work really.

mk1's didn't come in Liquid Yellow john, not even on the continent. you could buy a Mk2 172 in Sunflower in France though....but they look wrong. ;)

did you receive the bits yet joe? you can sell them on here no probs even if they don't fit. and yes, the coilpack will work on a Ph1. same part number. not sure on the alt though, i know the cup uses a different one.

sounds like an ICV problem to me... i only say that because mine did the same. i replaced the ICV and the throttle cable. solved it on my car.
