This man speaketh the truth . All the trim products just mask any white marks , same with any oils . WD40 if your gonna go for a masking product gets my vote everytime . Removing with the rubber first then using WD40 is the best way i've found .

Collinite 885 and 925 owns the lot imo for durability and ease of use :approve:

Mine snapped on my 172 , not just popped off .

A quick way to tell if a car has xenons is that it'll have the headlamp washer jets . They have to be fitted by law to any car that has xenons .

That was the first thing i did when i bought my 182 , drove it home , up on the ramps and cable tied the cv boot clips . It seems to be quite a common problem that they snap .

If it's only a small chip you could try filling the chip with paint using a c0cktail stick , sanding and polishing . Have a read of this : http://www.guidetodetailing.com/articles.php?articleId=27

^^^ Knowsit . Been mentioned 100's of times , low brake fluid level / worn brake pads . Do a search and you'll find lots of posts about it , it's a common problem .

They look fcukin horrible mate . I'm pretty sure you'll get the same response from most other people as well . Keep yours standard rear lights . If you want to change anything , just change the orange indicator bulbs for silvervisons and leave it at that .

Paint it . As long as long as you prep it right , plenty of colour coats and lacquer it should be ok . Its only an inch lower than the bumper . Is that chipped to fcuk ??

Lookin good mate , enjoy the car . The sidelights do look very orange though . Get yourself some leds , they match the xenons alot better .

Mondial blue paint code is D43.

Both my imports had the VIN number displayed on the dash , on the passenger side . The later 182's didn't have etched windows , i'm not sure if the earlier ones had or not .

Cups were Mondial Blue or Silver ;)

It seems there are alot of people on here who know jack sh1t about imports . If people want to pay over the odds for the same car then that's their prerogative . :clown: Does an H.P.I check actually tell you a cars an import ? And i mean a " Brand New Import " , not a second hand import ...

Not if you sell it private like i did with mine ;) Alot of Renault dealerships are clueless when it comes to there own cars so i would imagine a Ford dealership knows even less , and don't realise that they are exactly the same car produced in the same factory . That said i also paid £1500...

I always layer mine , i very rarely use the same wax twice when layering . Try some collinite 845 , just as good as the 476 but hell of alot easier to apply / remove . Or Collinite # 925 boat wax .
