lol tbh your going to get the same replys at any owners club, the only way you keep people happy at an owners club is to mod cars with parts from other models, which most of us do.

well it was my mate that done most of it i just helped doing the odd bit or 2 took us about half an hour to 45 mins to do the rear and about an hour to do the front. hes done it before hundreds of times though so knows a couple of time saving tricks etc.

yep in the long run the 2.0 is the better engine to go with but the 1.2 16v uses the same brakes and suspension as the 1.6 16v (phase 3 1.6 16v's have rear disks though) so with both conversions your going to need to do the gearbox, ecu etc im not saying id rather go for the 1.6, if your...

best thing you can do with a 1.2 is lower it and upgrade the brakes then if u want get a pannel filter and full s/s catback exhaust and decat. even if i spent £1000 on my engine i doubt i could get it round a tight backroad any faster than i can now that its lowered :)
