lol tbh your going to get the same replys at any owners club, the only way you keep people happy at an owners club is to mod cars with parts from other models, which most of us do.
well it was my mate that done most of it i just helped doing the odd bit or 2 took us about half an hour to 45 mins to do the rear and about an hour to do the front. hes done it before hundreds of times though so knows a couple of time saving tricks etc.
right cheers mate, ill find out where its blowing from, just my mate told me its blowing from just before the cat yesterday when we were lowering it, i didnt even know it was blowing lol
will this be losing power?
alright guys, my exhaust is blowing just before the cat and was wondering what i need to replace to sort this, does it mean i need a new cat or is it not that serious? cheers
well i got an insurance quote £150 more for a 1.6 16v dynamique than a 1.2 16v Dynamique (£1050 & £1200) because the 1.6 16v isnt seen as a performance engine like the 2.0 is, but its actually quite fast in the clio because its light
they wanted to give my mum £1500 trade in for my car 6 months ago, £1500 for a 3 year old car! it might have had 117,000 miles but its in perfect condition! hence why i got it instead of them!
it sounds nice on full throttle above 3000rpm, especially with more strain on the engine like going up a hill. yours sounds better though, mine is just a cheapo filter on it might change it in the future if i can find a powertec or K&N cheap enough.
yeah i really want an MS Design grill just...
Lower it lol
on a serious note like said above check for crash damage as a lot of them have been smashed and check to see if the splitters still on it!
yeah its crazy, i was always talking about engine mods and engine conversions etc but this has made my car twice as fast through bends without changing the power! thinking of better brakes now to go along with it, even although standard they are ok
yeah the inspectors must have been in when mine was built because mine doesnt really rattle eather lol sunroof does a little but they all do it, might start to ratle more now that its lowered.
ive had a new clutch but that was at 118,000 and is expected and obviously a few sets of brakes l...
yep in the long run the 2.0 is the better engine to go with but the 1.2 16v uses the same brakes and suspension as the 1.6 16v (phase 3 1.6 16v's have rear disks though) so with both conversions your going to need to do the gearbox, ecu etc
im not saying id rather go for the 1.6, if your...
best thing you can do with a 1.2 is lower it and upgrade the brakes then if u want get a pannel filter and full s/s catback exhaust and decat.
even if i spent £1000 on my engine i doubt i could get it round a tight backroad any faster than i can now that its lowered :)
full kit mate springs and dampers £280 from k-tec
getting a bit of rubbing from the back but only at one side so going to check that out later to sort it.
Fitted my Apex -60mm kit yesterday so washed it and took some pics today.
it looks nice and low even although id like the front a little lower. but the best part is the handling hammering it into tight corners at like 65mph and it just grips! if your hammering it round a corner and hit a...
to be honest if ive not got the wiring there im just going to buy the actualy lights and put them in, just finishes the car off better couldnt care if they work or not lol obviously its a bonus if they do!
i cant see how it could be cheaper to drop in a 2.0 over a 1.6 considering a 2.0 costs more to buy and you need to upgrade the brakes and possibly suspension too
