I still think at cost and how it performs, nothing touches megs. I also love glossy tyres.
Pinnacle and Blackfire are that step above but not enough to justify the cost.
Excellent mate. Would be a pleasure to work on it again, could probably be doing with another little enhancement after that long. Especially in this country!
Ally and Gaz looked after it very very well. I can vouch for that, was gutted when Gaz told me he sold it. Wanted it myself! :o
Difficult one for me but as a pure all-rounder the TT was hard to beat.
I remember coming home from a Celtic game late at night, pissing down with rain, freezing. Missus fell asleep, heated seats and climate on, bose on. Don't think I had to change gear all the way home, effortless passing...
Add in to the fact at just how complicated those/that DSG box is in comparison to a simple manual box it's a terrible comparison!
I'd hazard more 197/200 boxes have failed than that particular DSG box!
They are great value. They just come across as very expensive to run! Tax, insurance and Mpg is shocking.
Running costs of a much more higher grade car imo.
I would stick with Nick at CD. He's a nice guy into the bargain.
Here's an idea of his work... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=301542
Bingo, don't let the dealer touch it. Get the detailer to inspect the car upon delivery off the transporter. If he's worth his salt and money he'll do it properly.
Clean Detail are pretty good. What area is the dealer Stevo? I'll find you a detailer.
Always a soft spot for a DC5. Is the paintwork dull? Looks like it needs a bit of detailing?
Just the first picture looks like it's lacking some gloss which is unlike CW.
Never change your name or Avatar. ;) Would you ever afford to go there again Dave?
It's a properly special colour. Paul's LY corrected and wearing BOS is by far the glossiest LY i've ever seen.
CTR is very nice mate. It's also a very tricky category. Sorta in the middle. I'd be tempted to look at Carbon.
You'll get a full pot and a great boutique feel.
