They might do yeah, but the experience of a specialist will more than likely have come across the problem on a previous car. Their knowledge is second to none.
Where are you based?
Without the shims on mine, can't say that I hear them rattling though.
For bedding in they don't really need any specific procedure, just drive them as normal and warm them up on track first.
Yeah, it's probably best to give it a push from the back too as they can snap, but it's not a problem if they do because the silicone will stick them back on.
What about some silicone spray, maybe it's just rubbing together and making a creaking sound.
I know it works on the Meganes as their dash is known for creaking.
One of mine snapped off when i tried to remove it. The silicone is holding it on now and it's solid.
I was a lot more carefull with the other side and got that off without breaking it.
Did you fit the fire ring the right way round. One side is flat and the other is curved.
Can't remember which way round it goes, but it should be obvious when you look at it.
The RC5's really are good aren't they. So much more confidence under heavy braking now that I might have to change my fluid from ATE to something with a higher boiling point haha.
What I like about them as well is the fact that they don't really need bedding in as such. I found Ferodo's to be...
Don't say that, i've got some to replace on mine too 😞
On a side note... The Citroen/Fiat ones come with a rubber gasket underneath them, do you keep that on when fitting or remove it?
Yeah, the wheel is pointing in towards the car.
So you want the thin side at the rear (it's marked with an arrow i think).

The disc/hub needs to come off yeah. The pain from what I've read is the 4 bolts holding the axle on can shear off and they're not available from Renault as a replacement iirc.
