Right this is the truth and real. You CAN use car subs on home amps. However your need to match the impendence. If his amp can run at 4ohms then your sorted, just wire you sub to show the amp 4 ohms. If the amp can not run at 4 ohms you need to use more subs to show the amp a higher load...

to run at 2 ohms you connect up the 2 subs to the same channel of the amp, +ve of each sub to the same +ve on the amp and -ve of each sub to the same -ve on the amp.
BUT YOU CAN NOT DO THIS OVER A BRIDGED CHANNEL OR YOU WILL BLOW YOUR AMP UP!!!!
