Sounds like the orginal mount to me . Mine was the same on my 172 , but i had to cut mine off when the back box was banging on the ground , lol . Powerflow just made me a new mount and welded it to the car then hung the new exhaust on that . Perfect fit :)
Like rory says whats the car gone in for , are the wires related to the original problem ? If they aren't related then you should have you warranty work carried out with no problem .
I had a stealth powerflow on my old 172 . If you need a new back box i'd go for the whole catback stainless if i was you as the rest will drop to bits anyway . Mine cost £270 fabricated and fitted .
Artcic blue colour code is J41 . The mondial blue on the 172 cups is a very similar colour but is slightly flatter and the code is D43 .
Tbh i wouldn't but it from Renault anyway . Go to a good local paint suppliers and they will knock you up an aerosol for around £7.00
Parallel imports are imported from EU countries like when people say they have a 172 import , usually sourced from countries such as France , Holland , Germany etc ....
Grey imports are from non EU countries , such as Japan where the majority of imports come from .
Parallel imports are...
I use microfibre applicators rather than the yellow foam ones . Some people say they use / waste more product than the yellow foam ones but imo its negligible .Plus they are easier to hold as they are larger than the foam pads .
To dry use a waffle weave towel and plush microfibre to remove...
I had a 172 and the original contis were pretty good in the wet and dry , but they wore out on the front after only 7500miles . So then i tried toyo t1-s's which were good in the dry but s**t in the wet , then i tried the toyo t1-r's which were no different .
Then when i bought my 182 i was...
He might have seemed ok at the time . It all depends on how he feels about it later , what sort of advice he gets . Trust nobody imo . Look after numero uno ;)
I'd try and find the guy in the blue van asap if i was you mate . I know its easy saying take pics , get witness details after its happened but thats what i would have done . I always have a disposeable camera in the glovebox , plus my cam on my phone , i always have a pen and paper in the...
You can actually have a witness who is " inside " your car and their account of what happened will count .
If i was him i would have taken photos of the accident . And without wanting to get into any racist debate here , i know of a couple of people who have had accidents involving asians...
Your right . In the UK when you make a purchase you get 12 months guarantee . Don't know about Belgium though ?
But if you have something replaced under the warranty /guarantee and it only lasts say 10 months , you only get the remainder thats left on the original warranty i.e. 2 months ...
I've got silkolene pro s 5w-40 fully synth in mine at the moment . From http://www.opieoils.co.uk/performance_lubricants/silkolene.aspx
There was a special offer on a few weeks ago . Something like 5litres for £36 delivered iirc .
I guess somewhere there must be some small print which allows Renault to change the terms and conditions of the warranty , otherwise i would think that they should have to honour the warranty , what it covers etc .... at the time the extended warranty was taken out .
Do you keep soiling...
Hammerite smooth is fine on your calipers . Just make sure you give them a very good clean first , get rid of all the brake dust , any grease etc .....
Have you checked out autotrader ? I don't know where your based so there might be some near to you . If you buy from a dealer , especially a Renault dealership expect to pay over the odds . If you buy private you stand a good chance of knocking them down a bit and getting it lower than the...
Cos the 172 cups where stripped of things which lessened the weight , aircon , xenon headlights etc.... so the ones with all the toys are called full fat ;)
Had a 172 FF , great car , have a 182 FF now with cup packs which imo handles slightly better . Both good cars but for £10,000 your looking at a full fat 182 . Both FF 172 and 182's have the toys .
