The machine polishing part of it is the bit i'm really interested in. I know quite a bit about it, but i'd like to see a pro in action to get tips on the techniques.

Yeah, i agree Andy. I think a lot of people went from the 5D to the 5D MK2 because of the HD video. Where as now, even though the 5D MK3 has the option of 60fps at 720p, you can get a 7D that does the same for a lot less.

The autofocus of the MK3 would have been handy on the MK2 mind :dapprove:

You should cut it in half, then get a piece of pipe that has a slightly wider diameter, you can then use the wider piece as a sleeve that the two smaller ends go in to and then lock/clamp together some how... if you know what i mean.
