I've currently got G3 on, and it works from about 25mph+ and is also fine on motorways too. So i would say performance doesn't fall away tbh

Nah, you wont/shouldn't be needing water. The polish will contain it's own lubricants and oils. Which 3M compound is it?

hmmm.... i'm not sure. Could you have put it on too thick and it has run maybe? Although there doesn't look to be much on there to begin with... :S I'm sure someone will be along soon and will know what is going on.

Get someone to slide them from the back as you slide from the bullet at the front

Not really no. Just grab the bullet at the front, as this is a good finger hold to grab on to. Then just slide the strip backwards. Open the door too, that will help

Once the side strip is removed, there are clips behind it which hold the bullet in place. These just need popping out. Careful though! The clips break easily :nono:

By that i meant, going into more detail i.e. machine polishing, claying, glazing... and so on. Have a look at some of the threads in this section to get an idea of what people use. It's something you won't learn overnight, so it's worth spending time looking/researching products and techniques :)

Quick detailer maybe to prime the pad or allow extra work in time, but not water.

As said, it can be done without removing the bumper. Once you've removed the two pins at the top of the grill, work your way along from the top corner and push the grill back towards the engine bay. There are plastic tabs behind the grill which can be lifted to help remove, but i didn't really...
