With the 172/182 i think i would spray them dark first , let them dry ,then spray the lighter colour of the top and just wipe the lighter colour off the raised bits .

^^^^ I wouldn't bother with the remap if your considering future mods , like s/s cat back exhaust ,decat , air filter , manifold matching etc .... remap afterwards . Pmurray on here is supposed to be good at remapping .
