I just like overkill. :o
If it was on perfect light coloured paint I would use a pure cleanser, Werkstat for eg. Totally cleansing the paint and leaving a nice base.
I'm guessing you have watched this you tube video?
I don't do the full car, half a car at most for me aslong as it isn't hot even less. Just enough to let it bond a bit.
They don't do a glaze. Machine polishing the paintwork, either sell the Tripple on or keep it for other cars.
EZ Creme Glaze is a great Glaze as is Prima Amigo. They are 2 of the best i've used. EZ fills better Amigo is slicker.
Machine polish, Glaze, Z2 layers as many as you can! Sit back...
nO NO NO. Tripple is an AIO. If you're machine polishing you wouldn't use Tripple ever really unless you were machine polishing with Tripple.
It contains fillers etc which helps the paint look better aswell as cleansers. If you're machine polishing, ie correction work i'd be aiming towards a...
Did you buy Z2 or the Z5 aswell? I've forgotten what you said.
But yeah Z2 over Tripple will look really tidy mate. The only other thing I can think of adding is Z8.
I'm not sure why you want another product though. Layers of Z2 blow TC out the water. The only thing you would apply is a wax but on Silver i'm not sure why you would.
You'll ruin the beading and sheeting by applying TC over Z2. If you want a really nice wax for Silver to apply over Z2 buy...
Yeah but you said the repairs weren't bad cost wise it was the airbag and suspension that wrote it off. It made zero sense really.
Just so you know neither of those not including the cost could write a car off.
I'll give you an example. I've seen cars total lossed because a part was no longer available. Ie the repairs might be £1000 the car could be 10k in value. They could total loss the car using constructive total loss and get good salvage.
People forget the salvage value. Some are as high as 40%...
You guys are missing a totally key point. This guy was not at fault.
NOT AT FAULT.
There is such a thing also as constructive total loss. I've seen cars written off at 25-30-40% of the value of the car.
You really need to get out of the whole insurance straight forward side of things and...
Come again? The suspension and air bag would have been included in the cost of the repairs. Ie the repairs came to more than 130% value of the car. Cat B for eg. It wasn't a write off just because the airbag went off or suspension was damaged.
If I had a pound for every seat airbag on a mk2...
I'm not saying it won't. The fact is he is the 3rd party at no fault. People seem to be glossing over this fact.
Maybe they should pay him compensation for loss of value in the car if it does indeed need a new 1/4 panel?
A bit of paintwork I could maybe accept. Invasive surgery on the...
Yeah unless the police has special eyes that stretch around the front of the car.
I'm actually astounded someone put that sticker on their car, anywhere on the car. Not only is the car modified, attracting attention in itself you've put a big ass sticker that practically says " fuk da police!"
Awesome project mate. Surprised you gave it to such normal garages though. They're quite specialist cars imo.
If diagnostics don't tell mechanics what's wrong they haven't a clue.
Agreed. The beading also falls off very quickly. Never understood HB. My Z5 and Z2 last longer and look better and I can use it over a glaze etc etc.
Crystal Rock isn't really for the average user imo. It's a business selling layers. I've had 2 samples which sadly don't replicate the feel but...
"We're not talking OS", really?
So it can run like crap and be stupid but if it's fast and had lots of gimicky apps and features that you'll never use it's great?
That makes no sense. I spend a lot of time using an S3 and the more I use it the worse it gets. Partially because i'm used to...
Yeah definitely use the srp. You ideally want something better but Srp is still ideal.
Claying usually inflicts some marring so some sort of polishing is required. Srp will be reet. ;)
I doubt the garage would have went up. It's not a Hollywood film.
Oh and the chassis isn't bent. To bend a chassis from that angle the driver's door would need to be in the centre console.
