Had iceburg 172, got rid of that because I fell in love with a RB182. Sold that to free up cash for business, been running around in a 306 rallye since then.
Picked it up, really happy. Mint condition, interior's spotless. Feels much younger than it is, but I don't think the prev owner drove it very hard, 37.5 mpg! Just need to get some decent rubber on and book a track day.
True, but in my experience, it's only people with knowledge that appreciate those things. Had nothing but timewasters with my 182, until someone off here bought it.
Agree on all but the 997 comparison, the difference between Turbo, GT3, GT2 are quite significant, difference between a 197 with cup suspension, R27, and a cup? Mechanically nil, just interior.
Agreed, too heavy for a hot hatch. Was looking for a new car recently, but not a single new hot hatch appeals. If I had to buy one, it would be an R27, but it just doesn't excite me enough. When the 182 came out, I had to have one, not a single hot hatch does that for me now.
