How sh*te is that . If you get a 3 year warranty and the engine goes titups they should be obliged to give you a courtesy car imo . A woman was driving past me oneday and saw me gettin' out of my old 172 , she pulled over and told me that her 172 cambelt had snapped on 8k . Hope ya get it...

On my old 172 i had a replacement front bumper after an argument with a motorway crash barrier that i lost ,lol . In the pic you can see that they sprayed all the front even where the arrows are pointing that is normally left black unpainted plastic . I would say theres a fair old chance that...

Very strange . Like ya say , better off checkin the dipstick rather than goin off the oil level lights . If you've left half a litre in the can you've only put in 4.5 litres , but it should still show 000_ _ at least . Might need another 250mls ?? Not sure were the sensor is ! MrBillyUK !

You got any leaks ? You did put the sump plug back in didn't ya ? You wouldn't be the first not to ,lol .How much oil did you put in ? 4.75 litres of all in a 172 . MrBillyUK !

They can be adjusted , mine did it on my old 172 , when it was in for service they sorted it out . Don't know how to do it myself but somebody on here probably will . MrBillyUK !

Anybody got any pics with the plenham/manifold off ?? Do you use the same gasket or get a new one ? I once read a thread a while back about using high temp silicone grease on the gasket when putting it all back together to ensure a good seal . MrBillyUK !

This is wax Maz but its a piece of p*ss to use , no hard rubbin'. Just wash your car , spray it on and wipe it over while the cars still wet then its done . Turtle wax , wax it wet ! Halfrauds were doin a bogof on all turle wax stuff a few weeks ago ...
