What about a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI ?
Good figures for an oil burner 0 - 60 7.6 secs , top speed 136mph .
People talk of 0 - 60's with 0.2 of a second , it depends whos driving it , even with a couple of seconds , one bad gear change and you've blown it .
MrBillyUK !
I've used clonedvd2 for the past couple of years , never had a problem and lets say i've burned well over a 1000 dvd's ;) ;)
I always use good quality dvd-r's , with the ritek go5 dye , they are a darker purple than some of the cheaper dyes .
Dvd shrinks good , but you need something like nero...
The best program out there is clonedvd2 .It rips it to your hard drive and burns it all in one . You have the option of leaving in r taking out full menus , trailers , subtitles , 5.1 , stereo 2 channel .5 clicks is all it takes.
The second best is dvd shrink , which is readily available as a...
My sincere apologies Lunner !!

If your batteries reading 12v when its running its knackered mate !
You should be looking for a reading of over 14v , typically 14.10v or above when the engines running with nothing else turned on i.e . lights , heater ,cd player etc .....
To check your battery if the car hasn't been running...
I still say that a good fully synthetic 5w-40 is the best for an older car .I wouldn't go too thin cos you don't know the condition of the bores or piston rings . It take a good 10 - 15 mins to get the oil up to temp and thicken up .

Alright Sad clio geek ;) !
How can ya tell the difference ?
They are a better quality aluminium than the originals ,they are like thick cooking foil ,lol ;)
MrBillyUK !
Heres a pic of the new pedal covers i made . Can you tell the difference between these and the originals ?

MrBillyUK !
Your better off with a good quality fully synthetic 5w-40 .0w-40 on an older car might be a bit thin and with an older worn engine can pass the piston rings or leak from the sump gasket tec ....
The 0w or 5w shows the viscosity from cold , the lower the number the thinner the oil is from cold...
The original alloy pedals do wear out , depends on your driving position . I'm 6'1" and like to sit close to the steering wheel so it means i press the pedals more sideways on than on the top so i wore out the sides of the clutch n brake pedals . So i just got some grade A aluminium sheet and...
Haynes won't do a manual for the 172 / 182 and they aren't likely to ever do one because its a special edtion clio with not many sales compared to the bog standard clio it wouldn't be worth their while printing one .The haynes manual will cover alot of stuff , bodywork etc... but won't cover...
I can't believe people keep saying the rear disks don't do much ! Its true that the fronts do most of the braking ( around 75 - 80% ) if you didn't need em they would fit drums instead of disks . And by the way , my rears work perfectly fine . I need to change the disks as they are well worn...
You wanna get urself one of these magnetic pick up tools . Lots of pound shops sell em .

MrBillyUK !
Yep , thats what i'm saying . The 172 isn't a patch on my old Pug 306 S16 when it comes to handling , not quite as fast as the 172 in a straight line granted , but round the twisty bits it was hell of alot better .Having driven both for many miles i know which car i would put my confidence in...
Drove it on test mode yesterday , also got it up to 15 litres . Was only driving about 30mph ish but at one stage it was showing 160mph ,lmao !
