See i've never got these comments before, people seem to think that if you have a cup and its wet your going to go round a corner and then all of a sudden you'll just understeer/oversteer/roll or flip the car. Its a load of tosh to be quite honest.
A cup is a perfectly good car in the...
Do you know James that works for WikidWheels? I've seen a couple of his builds :S. But then I guess if you throw half decent money at it I guess they'll be alright (decent rebuild with decent turbo+manifold etc etc, which is probably why most of the ones I know have gone pop!
Hankook Ventus V12 Evos! Tried the Goodyear Eagle F1's, not bad but wear too quick and not very strong sidewalls on the 195/45 profile. The Michelin PE2's were pretty good when I had them, but the Hankooks are equally as good for me and there half the price almost!
Indeed it is, did you have RS stamped inlets? If so the difference would have been minimal whereas my inlets were shocking as standard, so was a big gain to be had from it for me!
I also have a Grp. N remap, though I found that V6 airbox with ITG filter made a difference by only a couple of...
For that money i'd be getting myself a set of matched inlets, far greater gains than any airbox/Ik/filter. The Maxogen looks good i'd admit, but gains vs price doesn't fair well for it...
Probably the best wheels you can buy! ;) Seriously though the wheels look really good, i'd personally leave them silver as it really compliments your car well! White would look rubbish, just wouldn't suit...
Pm me with a price please ;)
Not fussed about the dust tbh, wheels and bodywork are shagged anyways! Only running standard pads at the moment but looking to try out some more aggresive pads.
Where abouts are you located pal? Other than RSTuning all the other maps are pretty much a generic bolt on map, I had mine done at JMS Tuning in Uxbridge, only £135...
Converted my Mk1 16v clio to manual steering, didnt see a massive difference in drivability and parking wasnt a problem either. It did only weigh 850kg so that probably made it easier for low speed turning. Made the car much more free revving doing the conversion, a definate worthwhile...
Well the main reason was I bought a new bonnet as mine was dented, it never came with the sound deadening and couldnt be bothered to swap it over. Still as they say, every little helps when removing access weight!
Looking great Dave! Should be a great little weapon once its done... If you want anymore help just give me a shout, was good laugh even though it was freezing cold and everyones felt like shite!
I remember a work collegue in his mid 30's take my car round the block, heard my car bounce off the limiter and when he came back said 'bloody hell this things well fast, thought it was only a 1.6!' lol I had to inform him it was a 2.0 with about 165bhp!
