thats very good news!
i have the clutch pedal off the leon at my disposal so im gonna see if i can butcher that to fit the renault :) i think ive seen a solution :)
ive been thinking of selling my shitberry and buying the iphone outright but i dont know how much the torches go for these days and how much buying the iphone will set me back altogether
can anyone help me, im on vodafone, in a 18 or 24 month contract with a s**tty blackberry that doesnt work atm :( ive decided i want the new iphone. how do i go about doing this without my bank account being destroyed? i dont mind waiting a few weeks to get the phone im not that desperate :P
cheers
the meggy has speed sensing off the ABS so im ok there
main thing im worried about with this is drilling the crank because i have to take it out again :( and the hydraulic clutch!
like that phase 1 craigus!
lol dave your car is the complete oposite to what i want :P although i could always strap the boy into the spare wheel well :P
ive spoken to a guy i know in work today whos good mates with a garage and he said for me to tell him what i want and he will find it for...
lol ill see how much overtime i can cram in this month and see if i can stretch the buget, i doubt i can afford it tho lol.
looking like im going to get a clio next week with a bit of luck anyway :)
is it a 2.0 or a 1.6? if its a 1.6 with a plastic inlet then its a k4m, if its a 2.0 with metal inlet then its either the f5r or f4r depending on what year the car was made
yeah the later phase 2 meganes had a non sport f4r in them after the IDE was a monumental disaster. the engine is an f4r with a lower compression and diffrent exhaust and inlet manifold iirc.
its your best option as no doubt scott will be along to tell you his was a nightmare when it came to wiring
all the mechanicals bar the exhaust will fit with no issues but the b**ch is in wiring it up.
if i was your mate id look for a phase 2 vvt (non sport f4r) and use the pedal, loom, ecu and engine out of that. will only be 140 bhp but fitting the 1*2 engine in there is a lot of work electrically...
ive seen a saxo flip onto its roof infront of me, scared the crap out of me seeing how easily they fold so ive been put off saxos for life.
like i said if i wait until next months pay, which is feasible due to the pug having mot till december then i could stretch to £1500 possibly a bit more...
well the pug i have is a 1.9 dturbo and it bores me! not to mention the fact its a nail and its going to fail its mot and will need money spent on it. i need something with smoe more poke
i already have a cheap runaround, it is also a nail that i hate driving and is due a failed mot in december so i want to get shot of it really.
i want something newer (a clio) something to keep me entertained untill my meg is done (a clio) and something that wont cost me much (not a clio) lol.
i could probably stretch to £1500 but the less spent the better. i dont mind phase 1 or phase 2 tbh, i like the front of the ph1 and the back of the phase 2 so cant win. rather detest the phase 1 interior tho :(
what sort of RS clio can i get for sub £1k if any?
ive changed my mind about spending big on a runabout and quite fancy owning a clio for a few months so i dont want to spend a fortune on buying one.
bulk isnt always bad, when in work with my overalls on i tend to "lose" my phone in my pockets. a bit of bulk would help me relocate it
shame i have a shitberry :(
ive had tesco on my pug and bosch on my meggy. the bosch ones were 2 years old and before i took it off the road i was considering changing them in the near future. the cheapo tesco ones have been on the pug for a few months and im thinking about changing them already.
/should have bought bosch!
only thing im worried about with the plate is if its rotated enough to fit in my engine bay as i dont know how diffrent it is to the R5 bay
the sump is off already so that would be easier but it may be worth it to just rip the crank out
you could struggle with OE managment with an aftermarket trigger wheel because you cant use the standard renault trigger on the flywheel. im not an expert on that though you will need some more info from someone who knws clio managment. i would sugest getting standalone anyway if your turboing...
hi scoff,
intrested in this package your doing still. just a few questions i have regarding the flywheel and hubcentric spacer, why will the crank need re tapping? will the bolts be going through the flywheel through the spacer then into the crank or will the spacer be bolted to the crank then...
