You oftend don't need to with Clios as organisers know there plastic so not got to worry.

You realy need it pluggin into the Renault computer the coil packs can fail could also be the TDC sensor and the throttle body the last two IMO are the most likly.

It just makes a noise mine has for 30k or so. To change it you have to get the gearbox off just like a clutch chnage so you might as well change the clutch at the same time doesn't take much longer.

Clutch sounds like its slipping you should be able to tell though can you not tell the speedo and rpm arn't going up together.
