There is no way (That I know of) to pre-emptively download updates for a game that your system hasn't yet seen you play. Would be awesome though.

Tbh I expected to get a lot longer than 2 2 hour track days and a few thousand miles from a set of pads. Only been on the car 6 months.

So had her around the track for the first time yesterday since having the power upped. Was meant to be a full day effort however when the car was serviced on Thursday they highlighted that the front discs were 90% worn. Unfortunately Mountune don't do orders over the phone (Which is utterly gay)...

Was always gonna be a 2011/2012/2013 rehash when they said they wouldn't be releasing on next gen. Just a quick change of team liveries and sell it. No investment required on the developers side. Pretty poor tbh.

Should give enough time to finish of Horizon 2 then. So glad I got an Xbone last weekend now with this delay.

GRID was a blast. DRIVECLUB is broken. It just doesn't have that fun factor (Its a social game so meant to be fun) and feels like a chore to progress through it.

Bought a Williams this evening. Awesome little cars. Add a sports exhaust (keeping it in D class) and its excellent. Gives it that little bit extra it needed on the big hills.

I think the general feeling is we are all pretty pants at cross country. As for cars. I prefer the slower stuff. Only done the 360 CS races when it was required by the game ie. The plane race and following road trip. I've got a nice little classic BMW in B class and a 4-wheel drive Fiesta ST...

So what consoles are people getting this on? The PS4 version will be 1080P and 60FPS. They are aiming to have the Xbone version run the same. I've got my pre-order in for it on the Xbone at the mo as I still think LIVE is the better (More fun/social) online service.

If you want a better next gen arcade (ish) style racer Horizon 2 is leaps ahead of DC.

I was tempted to turn it off however waited it out. It's been absolutely fine since. Really like the feature whereby it goes straight back to the point you were at when its turned off (I use standby mode).

That's the HDD reading. Mine made some funky noises upon start up. Lots of nothing on screen then it fired itself up with an image of the control pad.

I went for the Tesco bundle of Xbone + Horizon 2 for £329. Had Clubcard vouchers that brought it down to £250.

PGR is a different league to DRIVECLUB. For a next gen title DC is shocking. I did go out at the weekend and get an Xbone and Horizon 2. That is proper next gen. Looks so so good. The rain/weather effects are outstanding.

Well I crumbled and bought this omwith an Xbone today. So far it's is, in every conceivable way, better than DRIVECLUB. Loving it so far. Kinda feels right being back on Xbox LIVE.

How long does the bloody install take on Xbone? I must be nearly at 1 hour.

Wrong. You buy a sim free phone from Apple it'll remain unlocked (FOREVER). You buy a sim free phone from CarPhone Warehouse, it'll lock to the first provider.

It's mildy acceptable. If I'd paid the £50 RRP id be pissed. It's Real Racing on the iPad but with a controller. My first thoughts were its ok, then it's alright but now after playing it for even longer. It's guff. Not next gen in any way shape or form. So hard resisting the urge to buy a Xbone...

It's Forza Horizon without Free rome, good graphics, good physics, good audio and the biggest problem is the bumper cars AI.

It does get slighty better with the faster cars but still no AAA title.

This is one distinctly average game tbh. Doesn't look particularly good. Car sounds are worse than Gran Turismos hairdryer noises.

I paid the £35ish to get the full game off the PS store. Pretty poor though for those that just wanted the Plus edition.
