Has anyone read any of the comments on the "My Xbox or PS is broken" blogs? Fudge me folk have some hatred for small plastic gaming boxes. When did it get to this stage?

Theres always gonna be "issues" with launch tech. Its no surprise really. Lets just hope those that have faulty consoles manage to get replacements quickly.

I'm not believing those pics tbh. The game can't go from looking like the 1st pic to the other one. Someones "fixed" something to make them look bad.

PS3 noise levels above must be for the original "Phat" PS3. My super slim PS3 is louder than my washing machine lol.

So much like the PS4, the launch games are so so but the console has potential? Who'd have guessed it lol.

The only thing "slated" for 2014 for Xbox One and Sky is the Now TV app. Nowt else.

Haven't Sky already came out and said you wont be able to control Sky through the Xbox One and they have no intention of allowing it?

Re: PS4 pre-order If you look at the Amazon reviews another thing you'll see if the multiple reviews by the same folk. There's being bias towards a console then theres the ripping the utter pi$$. On the subject of Infamous. Would one have to have played the 1st to "get it"?

With the whole world downloading at the same time I'll say there'll be issues lol.

Ps3 eventually got a feature that allowed you to set a time when to check for firmware and game updates and download them. I have ours set to do this at 2am in the morning. Means it's always up to date when I turn it on.

Will be interesting to see if problems are raised in the same volume for European release.

I think most tech sites are saying wait to see what the Xbox One does before deciding, which tbd, is good advice surely? The lack of "wow factor" from the graphics was a predictable outcome? Was the same last ten tbh. Takes a couple of years before the "leaps" in these areas.

Finished the "main missions" on Wednesday night. Enjoyed the game tbh though can't see myself playing it for much longer. Got The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 to start and finish now before PS4 comes along.

There are currently 5000 PS4s "out there" and 6 have had issues. 0.1% so not a big number. AFAIK, there are no differences between review models and "actual" models. The real test will be once its actually launched to see if more issues come up. Though as with all "new tech" there will be...

Re: PS4 pre-order Its definitely a good idea. However, there is the very likely possibility that further "patches" will be available on the 2 week run up to the Euro launch.

Really thought Forza would be "THE" launch title for Xbox one not Dead Rising.

Neither console has a stellar launch line up regarding exclusives. PS4 has 1 worth shouting about in Killzone and Xbox One has 2 to shout home about in Forza and Dead Rising. The rest of their launch line up is cross platform games. The smart buyer will probably wait until the end of Q1 2014...

Shopto have sold out of their launch day allocation. They are now offering the "pre-order for christmas"

All the gaming/tech sites are saying that unless one has 2 TVs side by side with Xbox One version and Ps4 version you'll see much difference.

It'll be so that they can "sell" them as DLC and make more money. Unfortunately it's the way the gaming industry has been going for a while now.
