That will explain not needing to let any air out! I only needed to take a couple of psi out of o/s rear on both. I dont think the o/s rear was doing a lot.
New belts dont cause any vibration. Is engine misfiring?
Id loosen off the top mount to bodyshell bolts, let it idle and settle into place then retorque.
Its very hard to diagnose stuff like this without looking, but personally id be looking at the top engine mount as its been off during cambelt swap, and look at lower dogbone and gearbox mount.
No point in replacing the injectors unless its misfiring, run some injector cleaner. Id be careful...
Quick half hour on it on Monday.
Exhaust was hanging low and noted the middle rubber had snapped. Had a gen renault centre hanger in stock that i bought years ago for the blue meg but did not use so fitted that.
Front exhaust clamp was loose too and blowing. Repositioned the clamp and...
CSF update.
Csf done and pretty successfull overall, the stars finally aligned. 600 miles on the trip, 3x tanks of fuel and 4x track sessions on the pm.
Sat ready to go with the Extra.
I was anticipating a 2 lap wonder and something to go wrong so had datalogger in initially for first few...

172 was 7250 as stock.

To throw another curveball in the...
Seen so many issues with aftermarket header tanks, for a lot of different cars. Im reluctant to use anything apart from oem renault these days. If you cant get new oem id prob get a half decent used oem one.
Good to catch up at CSF mate (y)
Ive always wanted LY so that swung the purchase a bit, and cheap. Mainly cheap:LOL:
Definitely too good to break but too uneconomical for anybody to repair if your not getting stuck in yourself.
Theres a bit of a budget on this one and i reckon i can get it...
Ive only ever resurfaced one renault solid flywheel as it looked like the clutch had been down to the rivets. Only other time ive seen them worn out is after a paddle clutch has been fitted.
Rest have always been OK especially on the lower powered engines.
Its pretty wild. Even harder to pedal, proper keeps you on your toes
Im glad it was quiet so i could get some seat time and figure out how to drive it without holding anybody up. High speed braking is a bit twitchy over a ton. Trail braking into tight corners is epic can rotate the back...
Cup rear shocks from memory are a little bit shorter than normal povo spec rear shocks. They keep lowering springs a bit tigher in place when jacked up.
