Lol agree, i think main dealers in general are for people who are clueless about cars and think thay are doing something wrong if they dont go to a dealer of the make of their car...
My mam for example! Paid £200 for front discs and pads on a nissan note at a dealer, i went mad with her and told...
The main problem with renault dealer's are the prices they charge. I remember my dad took my old 1.2 for the bonnet check as i was at work, he doesnt know anything about cars an probably made that clear when he went...they said ur sons car has no oil in and charged him £60, i was f**king fuming...
That sounds more like a mot.i gaurantee a grage would not do all of the above when someone is booked in for a service...
Anyway, i took the thread as though the op meant small service, like filters and oil only and agree it can be very cheap
Tbh a standard service is easy, once you know how to do it you might aswell do it yourself, im going to do my own every 6 month and get it done by a mechanic every year just so my book can be stamped aswell
My last on cost about £90 all in, £60 parts and £20 for my mechanic whos did it and...
My mechanic charged me £20 to do the oil for me and also spent the time going through in detail with me showing me how i can do it myself, that was very decent of him i thought
Yea, dean Dusnt have the c2 anymore and enj has got the 5 but dobt think he wants to go either.i love the drive down its class, gutted if we dnt end up going. Yea im not sure exactly what the crack is, another engine needed i think coz of the lad who fit the belts for him timed it up wrong or sumit

Really? These are genuine renault parts remember and £493 isnt to expensive, the labour is £240 which seems realistic also
So im looking at £780 all together, everything is being changed (water pump also)
Trader's on here cost for that would be the same, no?
Any trader's on here give me a...
Re: Cambelt...list everything needed in a change
It must if ther going to give me them for that price lol? Surely theyl still be making £ anyway, wests on here gave me a quote which was only slightly higher than this so it must be poasible for th to supply the parts at that price, like i said...
Lol...they do seem very genuine and have done a fair amount of these engines as a lot of local people have been using them.as said they are actually renault specialists, thers a few things about them on here which are all good, also a lad whos timing was outnwent and they sorted it for him which...
The warrenty part? I deliberatly asked as theyd said its better for me to provide own parts and said it wouldnt affect any work they do, and said parts would have their own warrenty also if they were faulty
Also said not that anything would happen, they were just answering my question
£733 actually ;) lol
The place im going to get it done is in newcastle as its close to me, they are renault specialist, not aswell known as you guys on here(well they arnt even on here anyway) but quite a few people whov been said they were spot on.when i rang thwy were spot on with me and...
Re: Cambelt...list everything needed in a change

This part of the forum should never exist, its extremely anoying! Part of the fun using ebay is finding a bargain...not having a go, just saying this ruins it for a lot of people genuinly interested in something
Why would it all of a sudden snap...? Think how many people whith clio sport's who arnt on a forum...do you think they have ever heard about the belts snapping and get it done on low mileage
