Was shot on a 17 - 55. Was shot on a 24 - 70; not 2 great photos to compare but ill upload some more 24 - 70 stuff in a few days. Anything you can do with one you can realistically do with the other (bar the obvious focal length constrictions). If only the L had IS. I'd recommend everyone...

Event stuff is my thing, theres certainly better stuff out there but I quite like these. All shot from Glade Festival last weekend. and... Need more primes. Zooms are so handy but blow hard even compared to the 50 1.8 for image quality...

24 - 70 is fantastic on a crop I feel; the 17 - 55 just didnt feel at all right. Either way im sure you'll have fun with it, I'm in love with my 24 - 70.

Doesnt Joe Bananas do phone charging now as well? You could just do the sensible thing and bring a nokia 3310 that if you loose, wont cost a fortune to replace. And wont require charging across the weekend?

The K series S1600 engines make just about 220bhp at 8500rpm. Not impossible to get power out of a 1600 at all. The 1400's manage similar figures but at even higher RPM...
