In some RS Clios the light doesn't work I've drivene a few 182's and 182 with no working light its no use anyway as its just a warning 300rpm with a +-50rpm tolerance for hitting the redline.
The different shocks and springs arn't exactly sporty the only decient sporty shocks for any Clio are aftermanrket stuff IMO.
The 1.2 do have the weekest spring due to front end engine wirght get a dci or 1.6 /1.4 if you want stiffer setup but its nothing a set of aftermarket stuff won't do...
You need to get a Renault laptop on the car to check but as Rex said sounds like a Top Dead Center sensor failed not difficult to replace though.
The first problem is down to you have plugged the second exhaust sensor in it shouldbe't be just unplug it and get the ECIU faults cleared and the...
You use the oil most approprate in the cold climates 0-30 is needed.
5-40 or 10-40 are fine for the UK so long as temps are above 15 degress. 5 -40 will offer better cold protection though.
Hp is relitive to torque and RPm if you tigthen your wheel bolts to 110Nm the car doesn't accelerate like it does with a 100Nm 1.2 engine. Its to do with the rate work is done. The 1.2 spins much quicker a s2000 makes probaly the same torque as a 172 but it makes it quicke.r
thing of pulling a...
Thats not a bad price maybe sure they use a proper Renault one don't bother with any copies and stick some new decient gearbox oil in when you change it don't stick the only stuff back in.
Just be glad you don't have a Williams or 1.8 most garages won't even quote one those that do want £300...
There the none RS keys not the RS keys. ALl the Rs I've seen have the other star key.
I cannot see many people bidding you can get new from Renault for not much more.
The Mk2 has some chassic strenghting to let it have the 5 star N cap but its nothing majour.
The phase 1 is the better car IMo than the phase 2 the throtle being a proper cable and having a better suspension setup plus the 15's are cheap.
5-40 is better as at low temps it will protect the engine but I'd only buy if its cheaper or the same price as 10-40 which is rarly is.
10-40 is a reasoably easy to get hold of racing oil as well which is handy.
The 182 seem to loose some low end power compaired to the 172 IMO. But that might be due to milage the 172 usualy have more miles on them whih means more power anyway.
1 bar is almost no burn don't bother Imo just keep a bottle in the boot. Only top up when its at half which is about 6k which is IMO when you should change the oil anyway.
I don't like the tyre but they seemed on on the 182 when they run the 16 inch size (I use the 15's).
Have a look on mytyres etc for different tyres the F! come hightly recomended.
Tyres are the most important thing you can make a heck of a difference on some decinet compunts/tread tyres.
10-40 Fully synthetic is the best the Silkline PRo is a popular choice though.
The oil should be fine but personaly if you need to top up the oil assuming its not got a right thirst for oil is to change all the oil.
So what? My cars only got a 1.5 liter engine and has 132 or so lb.
There are more important things torque alone means nothing rpm matters just as much 200lb is better than 400lb if it delivered over twice as high rpm Hp wise.
It totaly depends my shoks are worn onn stock springs at 65k with lowereing spring they wouldn't have been usable at IMO. However if you go easy no track days then they should last longer people have had loweing spring on there cars for 40k with 40k normal miles without issue.
You should get the suspension checked but usualy there little adjustement needed if there is it can be sorted with the normal stearing arms.
Don't bother with the bolts though unless your having it setup for track use and if your that dedicated to setups you'd spend money on coilovers.
Arr right just thinking if you have Ds2500 they squeek a bit due to compound.
Have a look on the drivers side see if you've done sometihin different fitment wise.
Also check you havn't got a stone etc caught under the pads.
Ring Demon Tweeks they have a catalogue for them there to many options there B4/6/8/10/12/14 and 16 I think so best ring them for prices etc but they B4 which are a sort of OE repcment are chaper than Renault unless you get trade prices at Renault.
There all very helpful there if you do find...
