A little extra over the regular LED dash upgrade

That's s**t hot. You do that yourself? Would love something like that.

    Bought my first 172 cup

Why leave the car in gear and leave the handbrake off?

I don't mess about once payday comes! The car just handles so damn well now, what a great little motor!

    James' 172 Cup Project

Busy Saturday morning Fitted Battery Cover as recommended by @182_steve . Looks far better, just need an fusebox one now. Also fitted Powerflex upper engine mount along with a Evol Engineering dogbone lower mount. First impressions...wow. What a difference! Whole car feels a lot tighter now...

    Joe's Monaco story

Looks nice and clean mate, any ring pics? Surprised it took so long to notice the broken coilpack plug though, would have been one of the first things I'd have check! Live and learn eh, French cars for ya.

Autoglym paint sealant working it's magic this morning. Thought it looked pretty mean without the front plate as well, see how long I can push my luck for.

    My Inferno Story...

Looks great buddy, need to get myself a rear arb after all the good things I keep hearing! Personally I prefer the gold F1s all day long, but the 172s still look great.

    FNG

RS looks the absolute business matey. There's one that lives about 30 seconds from me and I can't help but stare at it everytime I drive past. Such mean looking cars! Would definitely love to own one at one point, but can imagine the upkeep being pretty high!

    Ben black gold 182

Great looking car mate, like mentioned beforehand - those Willwoods look the absolute business. Don't think the Superturismo's complement them though? Not sure what wheels do fit over them, but I think some ultraleggeras/1.2s etc would suit the car better - or even Turini's if they'll fit!

Yep, really happy with it! Good shout on the battery cover, will definitely be getting one of those once payday comes around.

Couple of updates to share with you all. First of all, filled in the gap on my Sparco wheel with a horn. No idea how to wire it up but at least it looks far better. Excuse the mess, missed out on it's weekly clean over the weekend unfortunately! Also finally fitted a KTEC induction, what a...

    Sparco Steering Wheel Cover

Sorry, didn't mean manufacturer recommended as such. I used Autofinesse total which is 'safe to use on all car interiors' and is obviously quite a highly recommended company... so yeah god knows what I did wrong but hey, nothing I can do about it now it seems.

    Sparco Steering Wheel Cover

Yeah it's knackered, was never in fantastic condition when I bought it but still what a shame!

    Sparco Steering Wheel Cover

I've fucked up my Sparco Wheel trying to clean it, used recommended shampoo and followed online guide but now it's dried it's all rough and tacky. I'm such a knob, pissed off to say the least. Anyone on here used a steering wheel cover that actually looks decent? Or ideas to sort out the wheel...

    Not so epic 1.2 Project

Lights have come out well mate. The exhaust is a bit overkill though imo

    jamie_trials EViL MK2

Looks good bud, nice starting point! Sits well on the 1.2s. Do you ever come near Derbyshire? Just a coincidence I read this thread, as I've been scratching my head trying to wire my horn up this morning and getting nowhere!

The Odyssey (Phase 1 172) - By Coops

Nice work mate, looks a lot cleaner than when I saw it! Never seen those Speedlines before, yours must be the only 1*2 in the country to be running them!

Nuts, Bolts and rocker cover Cleanup.

Ah yeah, I'm with you now. Nah, I didn't both painting the lower half. I like the fuel rail cover but can't imagine it making a huge difference to the look if it was removed.

    182: Slight loss of power

Had this exact problem just the other day as well, about 50mph just a slight hesitation. My first thought was injectors myself. But hasn't done it since touchwood. As @imprezaworks advises, will also monitor the situation and let you know if I find a solution (if needs be).

Nuts, Bolts and rocker cover Cleanup.

Fair play. Manifold is just one piece mate. 3 bolts at the front, 2 at the back iirc. I cheated and just painted the engine mount in situ with a brush- again not the neatest job just got to take your time. People say normal paint is fine, but I went with VHT just to be on safe side. And I can...

Nuts, Bolts and rocker cover Cleanup.

I changed my spark covers and painted my rockers & inlet just the other day. I sprayed the inlet mani, but paint the rocker in situ mate, just with a brush. You can't remove it as it pins the cams in place. I used high temp brake paint. Not the neatest job in the world but looks far better than...

Thanks. Not sure to be honest! Would like to polybush some parts in near future, heard it makes a huge difference. Also desperate for an exhaust and induction kit.

    Tim's Trophy - #455

Beautiful car mate! Ultraleggera's look fantastic but I was a big fan of the gold Turini's as well.

    James' 172 Cup Project

Yes mate noticed that myself the day after uploading... still great spot, don't know how you noticed that from those photos! Gave the Cup it's first detail yesterday, I'm no professional (not even an enthusiast if I'm honest) but I think it's come out pretty well. Photo's don't really do it...
