Tech,
the standard uk classic shaped scoob and wrxs have a very restrictive exhaust, ive proved that a slightly modified car is quite a bit quicker than an unmodified one ;) but scoobs do slow down after 100mph (mine having a full decat and more free flowing exhaust system does not thou ;) )...
Every car listed has its pros and cons, the fiat isnt the most reliable of cars but better than the 2ltr 16v turbo, could cost alot to keep in the long run though..
The Scoob is a good all rounder, grips very well (especially in the wet where it proves to be more sure footed) but not alot in...

I thought that you needed a car with ABS to run a traction control system (to control the power though the wheels?) and didnt VTRs not come with ABS?

Joe,
i thought that no one could take an IAM course for a minimum of 3 years after passing your test (or the test atleast) and thats one of the reasons they introduced this pass plus thing (well after my time BTW).
The IAM course is excellent but you can also do the Rspoa? courses too?

LOL@Geordiepaul !
I think that shows you that putting too much power though a chassis that isnt designed to take it ends up with something knackered (ie if the windscreen cracked then you either have movement in the chassis or the shell, id bet on the chassis!)

OK before i get a sl*gging, IMHO i think that manufacturers design small cars to be town cars, thus the age old fact that women do all the shopping etc and that this car is aimed at them for this reason... infact that small cars are aimed at the lower income market for people who want a nice but...
OK you lot have baffled me lol!
Brakes come in whatever size the manufacture they want, a 300mm disc for a non abs systiem will be exactly the same for a 300mm system with abs.
ABS is a sensor, nothing more really, discs are like hardwear and car compatable, what your getting is a good...

If the draft is a forgery then no its not guarrenteed, the best way to do it is go into a branch of the buyers bank and get an electronic transaction done, this is THE safest way as its done from the bank (but you may need a days notice before hand).
If you accept a bankers draft ensure that...
Im having a laugh at this one ;)
I have to agree with BenR here, this guy says hes pushing mailto:200bhp@wheels">200bhp@wheels, that would be mailto:250bhp@fly">250bhp@fly or near enough.
That engine was a 90bhp engine, its now pushing nearly 3 times its power and no internals have been...

The chances are they can if they feel like it invalidate your warranty.... you could on the other hand go down to a different renault garage and purchase another oil filter, fit that before the service next week and give your engine a quick clean? ;)
As they say "bullsh1t baffles brains" ;)

There is about 1 passengers weight difference between these 2 cars, the 19 16v has slightly longer gear ratios over the clio 16v but unless your driving head to head you wont really feel anything.
The 19 is a good car (having owned 3 of them and one being a 16v back in 93 when i bought it new...

Not a problem with the last line Joe :D
This is the way i see oil ;)
oil is like beer, there are 3 types you can buy for your car (but many different types of beer!)
1. Kalibre (mineral oil) it looks the same, goes down the same hole but doesnt quite have the desired affect.
2. Lager...
You "MAY" feel that your car is sluggish when cold running a thicker oil, this is because it isnt warm, what your also feeling is the fact that your ragging your car when its cold and its trying to compensate, this will be the "real" reason.
As Joe has stated, oil is oil, it all meets an...
