I am also at University. I live at home and drive my 1996 16v to uni and back 4 times a week (70 miles there and back). I used to have a 1.2 8v mk1 clio. I am lucky and have a mint, well looked after example. They are not very economical - but you dont buy a hot hatch for that! I love mine...

Mate of mine had just had angel eyes fitted to his mk1, it has improved the looks so much. Im not a big fan of them on valvers though. Tom

I would give Meguiars Scratch - X a go, its very good stuff for removing fine swirls etc. Tom

Well in my opinion, from owning my valver for year now.... The 16v is a fantastic little car, but you will need to spend money on it, as most people know. I dont do track days in mine but I have spent alot of money on it already mainly maintenence etc. But the rewards of keeping it well...
