Back to the old db and sensitivity thing. Ive doen a bit more research and to be honest those figures that companies produce are near on irrelevant due to the fact that you dont know what they have tested the speakers in( obvously not in a car) and what with( headunit??? amp???, who knows???)...
sorry mate but the alpine stuff is better than fusion. It SOUNDS more musical. subs and amps are not just about gallons of power. ive heard a fusion sq demo car that a sales rep brought to our shop and the subs could not keep up with a run of bass notes. they were far from musical.
i love you!!! finally someone who understands that a decent ride height makes the car handle so much better than when they just slam it and make it look like a car that hangs around in halfords carparks at night. good man :)
the car should be set up with rake which means the sill will be lower at the front than the rear. not massively but enough to help shift the centre of gravity and weight quicker towards the front of the car to ensure more grip at the front which means less understeer.
yep :) ur 100% correct joose, its all about the install. fitting is the most vital part. I could easily make a set of 100 quid coaxials sound way better than a 300 quid set of comps just by spending alot of time mounting the speaker correctly, using loads of sound deadening and making a decent...
Id go for the focal solution 25A1 sub box with a sub amp and a front amp built in. excellent sound quality and the added benefit if a front amplifier :) job done. ive even got one myself :)
