Thanks Mike! I know Arjun and Jamie got similar results with the HP kit and Jamie has a std exhaust whereas Arjun has a Powerflow system. Both have Nick Hills modded ECU I believe...
Just curious as to how the Viper performs against the HP kit, seeing as how the Viper is based on a sealed air...
Nice one Roamer! I noticed that Green Filters offer a similar setup to the Viper, called a Twister....not carbon mind, but only £80!
It might be worth you getting the car onto a rolling road as AKs car ran lean at the top end with the new NH filter.....you might have the same problem with the...

Sorry, but grooved discs that remove mythical gases which build up under braking are pretty pointless. Well, actually, they might be pretty, but thats about it really! The grooves have little to no effect on a road car, and especially on something like a 172. All they do...
Im looking for some data on the suspension of the Mk2 172, namely the spring rates/free lengths for front and rear springs. Can anyone help out? Also, if anyone has a set of AVO springs and can supply the same, it would be much appreciated (AVO wont give me the info!).
Thanks,
James :D

Sadev 6 speed sequential box, as used in the Clio Cup race car - you wont get much change from £6k, and youll have to add fitting to that (and a big hole in the dash for the gear lever linkage!)

BenR - if you find the 172 handling bland, why did you bother buying one?!! As for the XR2 comparison - I know what Id feel safer in!! :devilish: Its hardly comparing like with like now is it?!
And ClioCup, just remember why you bought the Cup - cheap, pratical, and bloody good fun! Stop...

On the subject of hard-wearing, Ive done around 200+ miles on 2 track days so far (since the car was new...now at 2.8k miles) and the tread depth is 6mm (f), 7mm (r)....not too bad given the stick I gave it :D
ChavyBoy - having spoken to Nick last night, you need to get a RR printout before and after the mod (from the same place!) with bhp @ wheels, torque and CO on it, to help Nick develop the kit. Hes pretty stacked with work right now, but reckons he can get onto it late October....
If youre...
I cant say Ive had the torque steer problems in my 2002 172 that youve reported. I too had heard bad things about the Contis, but a couple of track days soon changed my mind. The Contis were very progressive on track, even when overheated after one too many laps. I was amazed. Also, I found my...
