If you purchased your songs legitimately, you can authorise your computer/iTunes again and they'll download from the iPod back to PC. If not and it's all gone from your HD, there isn't much hope matey, I just wouldn't sync your iPod.

Did you authorise your computer? Not sure if it makes a difference but give it a shot, also make sure you read/check all the iTunes settings - I think you may be able to disable purchasing.
