Id say it was mate, picks up and gos through the rev range alot better than the valver engine id say and always seems to have alot more......No more waiting for or dropping a gear to hit 4k as it seems to be good from 2k onwards.....My old 1.8 seemed to get 70/80mph pretty fast then afetr that...

I know they are big mate but they do fill the arches and seem to go well with the 60mm drop!!! Was out in it for a while tonight and im still pretty happy with the performance from rolling at say 20mph.....Will probably be a killer from standing though i guess!!!

Good idea mate and good if you want a project but id say sell up and buy a williams or buy a valver then 2.0 it!!! Youl get the bolder looks that way too!!! Iv always thought the only straight forward conversion for the smaller 1.2s and 1.4s was to gtt it otherwise theres alot of work needed!!!

Cat TeamThink did the conversion for me and i was lucky as they had a 45k williams engine ready for me too so a post on here in the wanted section and a few days later id found the engine!!! Runs soo much smoother than my old valver lump......Normal driving and it still feels...

Yes its garaged 24/7, whilst i was on holiday last week my dad went out to start it up a few times and said it was good!!! Was just abit worried that i should be drivin it abit more......The only time i ever get to drive it is at the weekends and i havnt even done that this one!!!

For long periods of time!!! Is this bad for the car? I mean its keeping the milage right down but it just doesnt seem to move!!! Am i to expect problems when i do drive it because it bein stationary for long periods of time........Im thinking i should maybe make the effort to start takin it...

The difference is low down mate......Standings are horrible......The ride is bumpy specially if the cars low id say from 60 onwards it pulls pretty much how should with 15s or 16s though!!!

Adamf your right mate 1.8 16v clio v 1.6 16v pug gti, the clios not in the same league but 2.0 16v clio v 1.6 16v pug its the otherway round even with big ass 17s......Its been tried and tested!!!:D As adams_16v as stated though he wants the more reliable car which doesnt break every 5 mins...
